Gratitude report 2022
On January 2, 2003, Maranatha-Carlisle settled into the corner of an office at the United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County to launch a new service to area residents in need of financial guidance and education.
Twenty years on, Maranatha has grown, but helping people make sense of their finances so they can be free to live fuller, less stressful lives is still at the core of what we do.
In the past year, we’ve continued to emerge from the pandemic, holding our first fundraising gala since 2019. We also launched a new fundraiser, Maranatha in Motion, to encourage people to take a walk and enjoy our community while raising funds for our mission.
Most importantly, we’ve continued to serve our clients. We’ve added a position dedicated to assisting with Social Security issues and our account managers continue to provide services above and beyond writing checks and watching budgets. As we look ahead to the next 20 years, we’re thankful for the vision of people like Hugh and Joan Jones, Dr. David Masland and others who built the foundation of our organization. And, we’re thankful for you – the volunteers, donors, staff and supporters who continue to make their vision a reality.
