Join us Tuesday 3/19 at the Hamilton Restaurant

From their scrapple and eggs to the cold meatloaf sandwich to their famous “hotchee” dog, Hamilton Restaurant is one of the best places in town for high quality, scratch-made, American cuisine.  Maranatha-Carlisle recently sat down with Athan Mazias, who helps run the family business, to talk about the Hamilton Restaurant and their participation in the Match Madness campaign for Maranatha-Carlisle.

When you walk in the Hamilton Restaurant, you can’t help but feel a hint of nostalgia…and for good reason.  The Hamilton Restaurant has been open for almost a century, and run by the Mazias family for over forty years.  Athan attributes their success over such a long time to their high quality, locally sourced food, made primarily from scratch along with their customer-first mentality.

While the Hamilton Restaurant is famous for their “hotchee” dog, which is a hot dog with cheese, mustard, chili, and onion, that isn’t the only favorite food item on their menu.  Regulars at the Hamilton Restaurant love their Greek salad and their turkey club (which is still made from real roast turkey, not just turkey lunch meat), among other menu items.

Giving back to their local community is just as big a part of the Hamilton Restaurant as the “hotchee” dog, or any other menu item.  Their family is constantly supporting local organizations like the Carlisle High School and Dickinson University.  That’s why, when they were approached about participating in Match Madness for Maranatha-Carlisle, they didn’t hesitate.  Athan stated “Maranatha-Carlisle helps provide the vulnerable in our community peace of mind…the least we can do is help them raise some much needed funds.”  Make plans now to join Maranatha-Carlisle at the Hamilton Restaurant on Tuesday, March 19th, enjoy a “hotchee” dog, or some of their other great food, and help them support Maranatha-Carlisle.
