Join us March 12th at 1794 Whiskey Rebellion

‘A local eatery rich in American tradition’ is how Meredith McNutt, area director of sales for Choice Hotels describes 1794 Whiskey Rebellion.  That tradition includes recognizing the historical significance of Carlisle in United States history while focusing on being involved in and with the community, which is why they decided to partner with Maranatha-Carlisle and participate in our Match Madness campaign on Tuesday, March 12.

Since opening four years ago, 1794’s nod to Carlisle’s historical roots begins with a recognition of President George Washington’s visit to Carlisle in October of 1794 on his way to end the infamous “Whiskey Rebellion.” That continues with their traditional American food menu including favorites like the “Molly Burger”, named after Molly Pitcher, and their “Rebellious Rueben” which regulars will be glad to hear is making a comeback for St. Patty’s Day.  Their commitment to tradition finishes with their fine selection of almost 100 different whiskeys, not to mention their excellent selection of wine, beers, and liquors.

Clearly 1794 Whiskey Rebellion is not relying solely on their rich history.  They are extremely supportive of the Cumberland County Historical Society, and have many events throughout the year such as Easter and Mother’s Day buffets.  Throughout our meeting Meredith emphasized that 1794 Whiskey Rebellion is not the traditional hotel restaurant, but they have placed a strong emphasis on being a part of their local community and giving back, which is why they graciously agreed to partner with Maranatha-Carlisle’s Match Madness campaign.  Join us Tuesday, March 12th and see for yourself 1794’s commitment to locally sourced, excellent food and help raise some much needed funds so Maranatha-Carlisle can continue serving our clients.
